Jack was born in Marion and raised in Huntington County. He graduated from Marion High School in 1968. He served in the United States Marine Corps and is a Vietnam Veteran. After returning to Marion in 1971 Jack joined the Marion Police Department. After his retirement from the Marion Police Department he enrolled in Mid-America College of Funeral Service and received his Associate of Mortuary Science degree. Jack returned to Marion and began his funeral service career with Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home. Jack graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Jack is currently employed with the city of Marion as the Superintendent of Streets and Public Works. He is committed to serving those families in their time of need and continues his service with Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Homes.
He has three children, Jacque, Amy Jo, and Joshua (Stacy) and four grandchildren, Spencer, Noah, Bradon, and Aalyn.
Jack is a member of the American Legion, Post #10, the VFW, Past Master Samaritan Lodge #105, Ft. Wayne Valley Scottish Rite, Grant County Scottish Rite, The Marion Aero Club, the Marion Moose Lodge, Yamashita International Karate Association. His hobbies include Martial Arts, Golf, Reading, and vintage vehicles.
